Auricula

Description

Grass covered lowlands with few features, mountainous borders at north and east, dense scrubland in the south and fenland in the south-west region. Its capital, Pallas, is located at the end of a long, narrow channel protected by Thorn Tower where it connects to Great River. The citadel is built of stones and mud on the top of a high artificial mound that commands the surrounding lowlands. It relies heavily on imports from Morch-Dewn, though diplomatic relations between the two lands tends to be prickly. Earwigs are bred in Auricula for meat, mounts for warriors and beasts of burden. Limited trade in earwig meat is carried out with the coastal states of Valeeme.

Auricula is divided into a number of strong baronies that select the High Lord and dictate his policies.
